Henry Verheyen

CEO & President, 2003 - 2008

Henry Verheyen was the Chief Executive Officer and President for Liga Systems from its inception in Feb 2003 until Oct 2008. In a bad economy and turmoil the company suspended operations in Dec 2008, and is subsequently being shut down. Henry led the company through a total of $15.4M in funding and was both the executive and technical leader of Liga Systems. His leadership skills are based on more than 25 years of proven executive management and hands-on experience with simulation and emulation products, place and route, FPGA and other EDA related products. Before founding Liga Systems, he served as vice president of engineering at Monterey Design Systems and Intime Software, general manager at Viewlogic and Avant!, and vice president of engineering at Aptix. His early career spans multiple engineering and management positions at Cadence Design Systems, Quickturn and Xilinx, where he helped develop and market numerous well-known simulation and emulation, place and route, FPGA and other EDA related products. Henry holds bachelor and master of science degrees in electrical engineering from the Technical University in Delft, Netherlands, and completed management training from Zenger-Miller, Dale Carnegie, AEA.
